I’m Laura, the artist behind Inspired by Life Studio.

I’m drawn to the moments that often go unnoticed—the way light shifts across a landscape, the quiet stillness of a place, or the feeling something leaves behind long after you’ve experienced it.

My work isn’t just about what I see.
It’s about what it felt like to be there.

Each piece begins as a moment—something seen, felt, or remembered—and evolves through layers of colour, texture, and intuition. I often build my backgrounds using unexpected tools and materials, allowing the process itself to guide what emerges.

Over time, my work has become less about capturing a place exactly as it is, and more about interpreting it—translating experience into something that can be felt, not just viewed.

For me, painting is both creative expression and personal exploration. It’s a way of slowing down, noticing more, and giving meaning to the moments that shape us.

My hope is that when someone connects with a piece, they don’t just see it—they feel something familiar within it.

A memory.
A pause.
A reflection of their own experience.
